HOW CALIFORNIA "ASSAULT WEAPON" LAWS AFFECT SELF-DEFENSE (# 4)
2018-04-16

Poster 40 and its illustrated text comprise the forth of several articles opposing the latest version of California's Assault Weapon Control Act (AWCA). This document deals with one of several "assault weapon" modifications required to avoid registering such firearms. It demonstrates that locking telescoping stocks is dangerous and has no effect on public safety. Locking "assault weapon" stocks in one position reduces the effectiveness of rifles purchased by law abiding citizens for self-defense. For example, it will disadvantage one family member over another when the rifle is needed.

WEBSITE HAPPENINGS

This posting went live on 16 April. Formerly, new Arizona Gun Talk website articles began with one "home-grown" poster followed by analysis in text form. However, all AWCA related postings now include text augmented by professionally prepared graphics. The illustrations are crafted to be informative on this website but are also offered as prospective trial exhibits in anti-AWCA litigation. Arizona Gun Talk teamed with Allegra graphics to produce the illustrations.
